The Story

The 2009/10 season saw Real Madrid embark on a new Galácticos era under club president Florentino Pérez. During the summer, the club completed some of the most famous transfers in football history, bringing Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United alongside Kaká, Karim Benzema and Xabi Alonso.

The excitement surrounding these signings made Real Madrid the centre of the football world and this shirt became one of the most recognisable football shirts of the era.

Although Barcelona ultimately won La Liga, Real Madrid finished with an impressive 96 points and laid the foundations for future success. Cristiano Ronaldo scored 33 goals in his debut season despite missing part of the campaign through injury.
