The Story

The England 1977/80 Home Shirt is one of the most significant football shirts ever produced. When Admiral secured the England kit contract in the late 1970s, they introduced a revolutionary design featuring bold red and blue trim, transforming the appearance of international football kits.

The shirt was worn by England during a period that featured some of the nation's most talented players, including Kevin Keegan, who won back to back Ballon d'Or awards during this era.

Although England narrowly failed to qualify for the 1978 FIFA World Cup, the shirt became hugely influential and paved the way for the explosion of football shirt culture that followed throughout the 1980s and 1990s.

Today it remains one of the most recognisable and desirable England shirts ever created.
