The Story

The 1998/99 season was Marco Materazzi's only campaign with Everton following his arrival from Perugia. While his time on Merseyside was brief, he quickly became known for his aggressive defensive style, aerial ability and unmistakable presence on the pitch.

Although Materazzi made just 33 appearances for Everton, his subsequent career transformed him into one of the most recognisable defenders of his generation. After returning to Italy, he enjoyed enormous success with Inter Milan and famously played a central role in Italy's victorious 2006 FIFA World Cup campaign.

This striking third shirt comes from a memorable era at Goodison Park and offers collectors the opportunity to own a shirt worn by a future World Cup winner during his only season in English football.
